M.Min+D.Min Special Program

Combined Master of Ministry (M.Min) and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min)

Program Overview:

This dual program is crafted for ministry professionals who seek an intensive, concurrent progression through both a Master of Ministry and a Doctor of Ministry degree. Through this online, fully flexible structure, students will engage in advanced theological study, practical ministry, and leadership training, preparing them to impact their ministries immediately and achieve terminal-level education.

Program Objectives:

  1. Integrate biblical knowledge with practical ministry applications to solve real-life ministry challenges.
  2. Develop advanced leadership and pastoral care skills necessary for effective church management.
  3. Equip graduates with a robust theological foundation to influence theological education, church leadership, and community development.
  4. Prepare students for doctoral-level research, theological critique, and professional scholarship.

Program Delivery:

The program is delivered entirely online in an accelerated format, with synchronous and asynchronous elements to support varied learning styles and schedules.

Structure & Course Outline:

The combined program is structured around three key phases:

  1. Core Master’s Level Courses (Year 1)
  2. Doctoral Crossover and Advanced Ministry Courses (Year 2)
  3. Capstone Project and Dissertation (Year 3)

Each phase allows students to build progressively on knowledge while integrating M.Min and D.Min objectives.

Phase 1: Core Master’s Level Courses

Duration: 1 Year

  1. Biblical Hermeneutics (4 credits)
  2. Theology of Ministry (4 credits)
  3. Leadership & Spiritual Formation (4 credits)
  4. Pastoral Counseling & Care (4 credits)
  5. Church Administration & Management (4 credits)
  6. Evangelism & Missiology (4 credits)

Total Credits: 24
Outcome: Completion of foundational courses with transition to doctoral courses.

Phase 2: Doctoral Crossover and Advanced Ministry Courses

Duration: 1 Year
Courses:

  1. Advanced Homiletics & Preaching (4 credits)
  2. Christian Leadership in a Contemporary Context (4 credits)
  3. Research Methods for Ministry (4 credits)
  4. Biblical Theology & Exegesis (4 credits)
  5. Conflict Resolution & Church Dynamics (4 credits)
  6. Apologetics and Contemporary Issues (4 credits)

Total Credits: 24
Outcome: Develops higher-level practical skills and prepares for doctoral dissertation work.

Phase 3: Capstone Project & Dissertation

Duration: 1 Year
Components:

  • Capstone Project Proposal
  • Dissertation Seminar (3 credits)
  • Capstone Project (5 credits)
  • Doctoral Dissertation (in selected ministry area) (10 credits)

Total Credits: 18
Outcome: Submission and defense of the dissertation, leading to the awarding of both degrees.

Tuition Fees and Financial Structure

  1. Application Fee: GHC 600 (non-refundable)
  2. Tuition Fees: GHC 8,500 per year
  3. Additional Fees:
    – Graduation Fee: GHC 450
  4. Financial Aid & Scholarships: Kingdom Bible Institute offers financial aid and partial scholarships based on merit, need, and ministry impact.

Admission Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Theology, Ministry, or any related field. (Applicants without a Degree in Theology or Ministry can have this requirement waived provided the second requirement is met)
  2. Minimum of 5 Years of ministry experience.
  3. Submission of academic transcripts, resume, and two ministry-based recommendations.
  4. Personal Statement explaining the candidate’s vision for ministry and academic goals.

  2. Capstone Project and Dissertation: Submission and approval of the capstone project and a doctoral-level dissertation.
  3. Minimum GPA of 3.0 throughout the program.
