The Sea Of Humanity

It is been a long time now when I visited the marketplace and when I finally did a few days ago, I had a strange feeling.

All these sea of human beings buying and selling, and yet more coming out of vehicles to do business and probably make some profits to fend for their families; WHERE ARE THEY GOING?

It was a feeling of compassion and a great burden for the lost. When we are done with the day-to-day activities of living and we retire to our homes, then what next? When the night comes that no man shall be able to work, what shall become of us?

I was lost in deep thoughts and great burdens enveloped me like a garment as I looked at this sea of humanity in the scorching Sun laboring to be in a position to adequately cater to the necessities of this life, which is a good thing because we are instructed to work.

But the bugging question in my soul was WHERE ARE THEY GOING, DO THEY KNOW JESUS, ARE THEY LIVING FOR HIM?

Sadness began to fill my heart as I thought of the implications of what was going on in my mind; for although many go to church on Sundays they are yet to hear of the saving Gospel from the pulpit. What is prevalent today is what Apostle Paul calls another Gospel; the gospel of gain and motivational speeches that affirm the lust in the heart of man.

The church is losing more people to hell because she thinks sinners can be won by preaching another gospel rather than the old saving Gospel of Jesus Christ. As a result, many don’t see the reason to live according to the values and tenets of Christianity. Many are made to believe it doesn’t matter how you live, so far as you go to church and pray and pay your tithes they are fine. That’s the biggest lie in the church today.

Heaven is counting on you and me, we cannot disappoint! Whenever we have the privilege to stand before men, we must be in the know that heaven and hell are at a crossroads. What we say can transport a soul from darkness to light or vice versa, therefore we cannot be careless and passionless with the message entrusted to us by God for it is written; It pleased God that through the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

Always remember:

Success is not fame,

Success is not how much money is in your account,

Success is not how many buildings or cars or businesses you have,

But success is when you hear these words from the master:

“Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of thy lord”

Shalom.
